Confirmation Statement · Your Annual Companies House Filing
File Your Confirmation Statement On Time
Every U.K. company must confirm its details at Companies House at least once a year — trading or not, profitable or not. Miss it for long enough and the company can be struck off.
- Your annual confirmation statement prepared
- Company details reviewed before filing
- Filed with Companies House
- Confirmation sent to you
Sound Familiar?
Are You Facing These Problems?
You are not sure when your statement is actually due
Companies House reminders go to an address you do not check
Your shareholder or SIC code details have changed
You have missed the date before and want it handled
The company is dormant and you assumed nothing was due
You would rather someone confirmed the details are right first
Why It Matters
What the Confirmation Statement Does
It is not a tax return and it is not accounts. It is the annual check that what the public register says about your company is still true — directors, shareholders, address, share capital and what the company does.
Keeps You On the Register
Persistent failure to file is one of the routes to a company being struck off.
Details Checked First
We review directors, shareholders, addresses and SIC codes before anything is submitted.
Deadline Tracked
We tell you when it is due rather than relying on post reaching you.
Ownership Recorded
Shareholders and people with significant control confirmed as part of the filing.
Handled From Anywhere
No U.K. presence needed — the whole filing is done for you.
Written Confirmation
You get proof of what was filed and when.

Common Mistakes We See
Assuming a dormant company is exempt
It is not. A confirmation statement is due whether or not the company has traded.
Confusing it with annual accounts
They are two different filings with two different deadlines. Doing one does not cover the other.
Not updating changed details
The statement confirms the record is correct. Confirming details you know have changed is not the point of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a confirmation statement?
It is the annual filing that confirms your company’s details on the public register are still correct — directors, shareholders, people with significant control, registered office, share capital and SIC codes.
Is it the same as annual accounts?
No. They are separate filings with separate deadlines. A confirmation statement confirms your company details; accounts report your financial position. Both are required.
Does a dormant company still have to file one?
Yes. The obligation applies whether or not the company has traded. Dormancy affects your accounts, not your confirmation statement.
What happens if I do not file it?
Companies House can begin the process of striking the company off the register, and directors can face further consequences. It is one of the more serious filings to neglect.
Is the Companies House fee included?
No. Our fee is £99 and the Companies House filing fee is charged separately at the rate they set.
Can I change company details at the same time?
Some changes are recorded through the statement itself, such as shareholder and SIC code updates. Others — a name change, a director appointment — are separate filings, and we offer those as separate services.
