Why It Matters
Why a Federal Trademark Matters
A registered trademark gives you a recognised claim to your brand name in connection with your goods or services — and it is what platforms and investors look for as proof you own it.

Avoid These
Common Mistakes We See
Filing without a search
Discovering a conflicting mark after you have paid the government fee is an expensive way to learn.
Choosing the wrong class
Your protection is tied to the goods and services you claim. Get the class wrong and the registration may not cover what you sell.
Picking a purely descriptive name
Names that just describe the product are notoriously difficult to register.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee my trademark will be registered?
No, and nobody honestly can. Registration is decided solely by the USPTO. A clearance search materially improves your odds by finding conflicts first, but the decision is theirs.
Are USPTO fees included in the $750?
No. The $750 is our service fee. USPTO government filing fees are charged separately and depend on the number of classes. We confirm the full total before filing.
Can a non-U.S. resident register a U.S. trademark?
Yes. Foreign applicants can register U.S. trademarks, and we handle applications from outside the U.S. regularly.
What is a class and why does it matter?
Classes define the goods or services your mark is protected for. Filing in the wrong class can leave what you actually sell unprotected, which is why we guide the selection.
What if the USPTO raises an objection?
The USPTO may issue an office action asking for clarification or refusing the mark. We notify you and can quote for a response separately — it is not included in the base fee.
Do I need a trademark for Amazon Brand Registry?
Amazon typically requires a registered or pending trademark to enrol. Their requirements are theirs and can change, so confirm the current position with Amazon.
